Test shots of my new old dress.

Remember how, in my last post, I said I had a dress to share? I spotted its fantastic color combo at the Roycroft Festival and made a beeline for it. I tried it on as soon as I got home, and it fit like a dream. I wasn't quite sure that it suited me, however, so I asked Dave to take some test photos. Looking at them a few days later, I've decided that I really rather like the dress on me! The colors are so perfect (pink, navy, + grey = ♥), and that's the original belt! It's a homemade cotton dress from the 40s. Sometimes the home-sewn ones are the best.

Testin' out my new old dress.

Please excuse the mess!

Hello, kitty.

(See that awesome painting in the background? That's some of Dave's work! He made it from my old parking stubs, and I just love it.)

  1. Those must be Bass sandals!(or also called sunjuns)Love those sandals! Classic & Vintage but yet stylish. Will you be selling these or posting more photos on Flickr? Just curious, sunjuns are one of the most comfortable sandals out there!

  2. Q - Thank you! I'm thinking about altering the sleeves, hmm...

Anonymous - You are right, those are Bass sandals! They are the best ever; I keep wearing them out and buying a new pair every few years. I'm afraid they're not for sale, but I'm sure they'll pop up in outfit photos here or on Flickr from time to time.

  3. Thanks for your response Alicia! Oh yes, I wear these all the time! The more you wear them, the more comfortable they are. I gladly would like to send you & share some photos of my bass sandals that I still wear. So, do you own more then one pair of these Bass flip flops? If so, I would like to see photos of your sandals as well!

You can send photos or email at: mxzrevcalcio@yahoo.com
Hope to see some photos! I will then send photos as well…thanks!
